Blog Entry: Yay! i finally got my final set of dentures! I keep biting my tongue and it's a little harder to chew, but I suppose that I'll get used to it. At least they don't hurt anymore. (and at least they don't go flying whenever I sneeze) Incase ya didn't know, I had all of my teeth (all 31) removed waaaaaaaay back in September because of a calcium problem and I've been fighting with my temporary dentures since. On the bad side, I haven't really been able to eat for the past 9 months 'cause, well, it hurt! A lot. The good side of that is that I went from a size 16-18 to a size 8-10 and lost over 40 pounds. All in all we've spent over $8000 on these annoying things, but hopefully now I can start eating again. Makes me wonder why dental isn't included in standard health insurance. I mean, come on, the mouth is pretty important when it comes to keeping yourself healthy, right?
