Blog Entry: Aloha- I'm trading in my Buenos Dias for Aloha for a while. We have been on the island of OAhu since Monday October 5th 2009. We live near the beach walking- distance. I told my husband that if he was moving us to an island I want to live the hawaiian life and here we are near the water! Things are different here how could they not be?  One thing for sure is the people here here are so friendly and happy, really really happy and laid back. Being a 'nearly' native of Arizona we get teased about AZ being laid back, in Hawaii I feel like I just got off the plane from the east coast . Speed limits are low and no one is in a hurry. Once I acclimate it will be nice. This weekend there is an english horse show near by we are going to check it out . The show season starts in January and ends in January. How nice is that! We (in AZ) tend  to retire in about June and pickup again in about September. They also have an all girls rodeo  and they do alot of parades, and team sorting.   We are horseless here so I will take  rididng lessons and spectating until we get back to Arizona. .
