Subject: Horse job needed
Content: Hello, my name is Christy. Right now I work at Jamaica Bay Riding Academy in Brooklyn NY. I am a groom. However I have lots of trail guide experience and good beginner- rider instructor experience. I have a lesson program I want to try out really bad. It's basic horsemanship for beginner riders. Working at JBRA I have seen alot of people who've never been on a horse before and I want to help them become horsemen/women. I am a fairly good rider, Ive been riding on and off since I was 7 (i am now 21) I ride mostly western but I also like english riding. I am good at helping people get over their fears of horses and about 9 out of 10 of my trails end with people saying they had fun and asking for my name so they can have me as a guide when they come back. I can handle tempermental/nervous/'crazy' horses as the horses at JBRA are never trail horses but ones that my boss gets from a dealer. We have no idea how the horse is until we get it to the barn and then they just stick the employees on them. If the horse is good its a trail horse, if not its a pushing horse they make the employees deal with. As a result you are forced to become a good rider or else have accidents happen all the time. Anyway, I dont want to be a groom anymore, I wish to move up in the horse industry and become either a full time trail guide or a horsemanship instructor. I already have the details of my program set up and written down. If you are interested in the program please contact me and we can discuss it. I would be willing to travel up to 1 1/2 hours to get to work by car ( i live in brooklyn near marine park if that helps anyone) Thank you for your time, Christy
