Hi Dave,
How are you doing? I bet the snow in Colorado is beautiful this time of the year. I have been busy training my filly. She will be 3 in March. She has turned out to be a nice ride. Calm and no spook. I have had a couple lessons with a trainer and she eats up the lessons. I am glad she hasn't killed me...yet!

I fed my finger to a horse this weekend! I am lucky, it could have been worse, but it is really really hurts and it's not allowing me to do chores and type correctly!

The horses manage pretty well. Up at this altitude they really do get a winter coat. Today was cold but not bitter. If you got out of the wind it was warm actually. I had a pair of light coveralls but no coat. I spent my afternoon in the timber cutting a load of firewood. A lot less wind in the trees. My pasture horses usuallu hang around the trees when it blows hard.  

I guess it is what they are used too! Our Big Paint, Charlie barely has a winter coat because he is from Idaho.  I myself am freezing here right now but I do know what around the corner in about 16 weeks we will be in the 100's I dread that!
