Writing my own book?

I have, for years now, wanted to write my own novel, but I cant seem to get all of the story in my head. I have read where some Authors "create" their story as they go, and I am afraid if I do this, the story would be never ending.

I have over 18 years in the trucking industry, and I have seen some incredible things, met some great people, and driven through some of the most beautiful countryside America has to offer.

I have written a few Country songs, even recorded a few, (not professionally) but still the thought of writing my own book intrigues me.

Maybe one day I will have both the patience and time to get started.

your book
Hey Cowboy,

How exciting to be writing ones own life story and adventures in a book eh?
I too have started doing so years ago and I know it's not as easy as it sounds. Someday when I'm finally done with it I'll have it printed myself at a printing shop and give it to my kids and grandkids for Christmas!

Hang in there and words of advise and wisdom for you:
ya gotta start to someday get finished,
always jot down your memories as they come to you,
then write them out in small chapters that will someday come all together for you, devote an hour or two each day to writing and before you know it that ole manuscript will be fat and happy.
Glad to be here in your club and I look forward to both your club and this site growing in leaps and bounds!
Stormie
