Since my saddle doesnt fit Maxie and I have been riding bareback lately... Talk about feeling at one with your horse! I never actually came off, ALMOST did a couple times, but there were moments when it really was like max and I were just moving together. We're really getting the trot down so I'm not nearly coming off! It's awesome. He's a good boy for me now :) I know I've already told y'all that but I'm very pround of him. Well I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about max and I by now, so after this I'll try to only give really important updates. :) But I think this one counts as important. Lately, max and I have been great. Better than ever, really. And I'm not even worried about jinxing it, because if max does decide he's boss just because I typed that, then I'll show him! Well yesterday night, I went out to see Maxie, because I hadn't in a while. (I left all my stuff at my riding insteructors place :( ) Of the other girls who works there {I do too} was out, and said if max and I wanted to wait just a few minutes she could get the "community horse" (her pony isnt broke yet) and we could go riding. Max and I have been doing great lately! I better knock on wood though, it seems every time I say that on TW we go downhill again. Anyway, Monday afternoon I was giving Maxie a good workout (I hadn't in a while and felt bad), but he was being silly because I'd ask him to trot, and he'd canter, and I'd ask him to canter, and he'd trot! Eventually I got him to do what I wanted and give him a few peppermint treats for being good in the end. :)... Read More

Yay! I am home from horsecamp! I'm am not saying "yay" though because I am happy to be home... But because I now get to tell you all how great camp was! max was such an amazingly good boy... He didn't buck or anything! He spooked a few times but I didn't come off :) We bonded a lot... And in the end, we were all getting "awards" for whatever we most deserved them for, and mine was "Greatest Bond Improvment with Horse" ^^ And also, we got a SECOND PLACE in our showmanship class!
